Monitair are powerful Heat Recovery Dehumidifiers from Calorex.
These high rate floor mounted units are available in various different sizes to suit most indoor pools.
The Monitair from Calorex can remove up to 4.5 litres (110AX) an hour from your pool hall.
As with the Vaporex range these are available in different formats, such as standard, defrost and LPHW heating coils.
What makes all the Monitair different to the smaller Vaporex is the internal 3 port zone valves. Also included with the LPHW version is an independent thermostat. Similar to a central heating stat, it can be installed away from the unit in the best position of the pool hall. Because all the zone valves are internal, the installation is very easy.
Due to the heavy nature of these dehumidifiers they are only available floor standing, which is a good job as the Monitair 110 weighs in at 153kg!
The high airflow rate of the Monitair make them suitable for larger swimming pools, some commercial applications. They can even be installed in polycarbonate pool enclosures where humidity is often very high due to the cooler air temperatures.
Each unit has a 2 years parts and labour warranty, although reliability has never been an issue with any Calorex product. Manufactured in the UK to the highest possible standard all Calorex products have an enviable reputation in the UK and all over the world.
Most pool professionals would recommend Calorex products, and the Monitair range is no different.
The through the wall option allows for installation even in pool halls with limited surround space.
Airflow rates and air heating rates are the same for both the larger Monitair 75 and 100 models. 1180 meters cubed and hour and 8.9kw respectively are specifications similar to some smaller fully ducted dehumidifies. The 8.9kw heating duty is especially useful for larger pool halls.
One other benefit of the Monitair large heating coil, is it can be used with renewable heat sources. Typically providing heat at lower temperatures, a good heating capacity can still be achieved. Please ask us for more details.
The smaller Monitair units 44 to 66 are often considered instead of the Vaporex units. This is because they have internal port zone valves and can be ducted to bring in small amounts of fresh air. Thus reducing the need for and additional fresh air ventilator that is recommended with most dehum units of this type.
